"Healer to Healers" is a gift marking in hand analysis, and I am often asked if I have that marking. The answer is "yes".

Hand analysis is a way of looking at your fingerprints for insights into how you are wired -- what activities makes you happiest and what tend to give you recurring challenges. Hand analysts call these tendencies your life purpose and life lesson. 

In 2007, I had my hands read by Baeth Davis, The Hand Analyst. For all you hand analysts out there, here is what my hands say about me:

School of Love 
I'm here to help people connect to others and to their authentic emotional selves. It's easy for me to love everyone, too -- as I think of it, to recognize the light of God in everyone. This may be why I sign so many blog posts with, "I love you. Go heal."

Interestingly, I earn my School of Love category by having ten loops, something hand analyst Richard Unger calls "The Butterfly". My company is named One Butterfly LLC ... coincidence?

Purpose: Spiritual Mentor
My left Saturn loop has a honking big scar across it where I stuck my fingers in a still-running hedge trimmer a few years ago, which qualifies it as an entwined loop. In addition to that, I have a peacock loop in my palm. This means I delight in working with others to help them understand and come into harmony with their inner values. I also must walk my own talk.  My topic of choice is awakening your inner healer and walking the unique spiritual path of the healer. 

Today I teach people that your prime directive in life is to heal, that as spiritual beings having a physical existence, you are naturally driven -- in fact, your Prime Directive is -- to increase Life or Consciousness (or chi or Life Force or whatever you like to call it). You do that most effectively by healing.  Your primary inner calling, therefore, is to heal. 

As a Spiritual Mentor with Heart, I help you awaken your often-dormant or confused inner healer, and learn to walk the spiritual path of the healer well, so you can heal yourself and others.

Never have I met a healing teacher speaking as much Truth and Integrity, and cutting through the fear and myth surrounding healing and energy as fast as Eric Pearl does, as the founder of The Reconnection.  (Not a founder in the sense that he woke up one day and decided to start somehting new, as much as the Universe decided FOR him that he was going to experience something new and unique, and that people would eventually ask him to teach it.)

Eric's book The Reconnection, Heal Others, Heal Yourself is my top reading recommendation to healers everywhere.

So many other minor but amazing personal markers and "coincidences" also pointed me toward doing this work!  Whatever that all means, I fall into such a happy, peaceful state when I do this work, it's amazing.

The Reconnection® and Reconnective Healing® bring you to a deeper spiritual connection with yourself and the Universe.  It gives you the option of becoming Whole again.  That's called healing.

Here is the back story:
In January 2007, I had finished working with a therapist from LA who, as she was leaving my office said casually over her shoulder, "Oh, and I do something called 'The Reconnection', too." 

"Oh, yes, let's do that!" I heard my mouth say.  A few seconds later my brain kicked in and I asked her for more information.  Oddly, I didn't get any until after my first Reconnection appointment.  But thank goodness!  If I had known that you learn Reconnective Healing in just one weekend, and The Reconnection in another, I would have been a total energy healing snob and thought it couldn't have been much of a technique.  (Yes, I'm a recovering egoholic!)

How little I knew.  The Reconnection isn't even a "technique" per say!

I read Eric's book The Reconnection: Heal Others, Heal Yourself, and discovered a healing philosophy that some part of me recognized as Truth. As a dyslexic, I have to admit, I rarely get past chapter 3 in anything. But I read The Reconnection again. And a third time. And now I often pick it up and  read just a page or two. 

I knew I had heard Truth, though I had to figure out what to do about it. I was astonished, and excited!  And I got even more excited when I started sharing this with my clients and seeing the difference it made in people who already considered themselves content with their lives. That was BEFORE I took the class. You can attune to these frequencies by just reading the book.

It's extraordinary.

For healers, I can't recommend this book enough.  You can acquire these powerful new frequencies whose nature is to open you up to your higher self, to connect to the easy flow of abundance in the Universe!  Seems like something all healers could use.  The world needs you now, healer!

Even though I had recently decided I was going to take a break from healing classes, I signed up for the Reconnective Healing course and went, dragging my entire family and the daughter I was still nursing along for a week's vacation.

The class was both familiar and new.  Dr. Pearl's philosophy is the common denominator of Truth, stripped of pomp, circumstance, manipulation, parlor tricks, and fluff.
 
Once Reconnected, you are more easily able to be You and to find and fulfill your life mission successfully.  I feel this process is worth thousands of dollars, years of therapy, and hours and hours and hours of energy healing.  In fact, none of these activities can duplicate The Reconnection. 

Quite a bargain.

In a decade of energy healing and spiritual exploration, I have found nothing like this.  This IS the New Healing for our new age, here now if you choose to recognize it.

The lady on TV was a Barbara Brennan healer and after weeks of procrastination, I dialed the school to find a practitioner near me.  At the end of my fourth bewilderingly strange and wonderful session with her, she recommended her own Health Kinesiologist for my inescapable allergies, which made me miserable from March to November as I rotated through decongestants.  My first thought was: “You can’t get rid of allergies! Everyone knows that.”

But already some impossibilities had gotten fuzzy.  I was not so sure about what was and wasn’t possible any more.  And what a relief it would be if it worked.  So I wrote down the name and the number -- skeptical, curious and impressed at the same time.  (Wow, my healer’s healer!)

Within 10 months, Madeline the Health Kinesiologist helped me break over two decades of annual hay fever, chronic sinusitis, and a lifetime of asthma.  The results were so noticeable after one session that I brought in my sickly toddler.  Within six months, he was off three inhalers and his nearly constant ear infections were long gone.

That was it, I thought, somehow I am being hypnotized or they are secretly tricking my body into getting better after 31 solid years of being sick!  I decided I had to take the classes on how to do this in order to discover their trick and deception.  Then I was going to expose it all!  (I couldn't admit to myself that something about this healing stuff deeply fascinated me...)

But in the first class, they were very earnest and didn't teach us the trick.  So I took the second class.  Then a third, eventually taking all 15 Health Kinesiology seminars.  Over eight years I also tested many other energy techniques from all over the world. 

Most importantly I practiced these healing techniques as I went.  Highly skeptical in nature, I knew, too, that if I could get these processes to work as a curious skeptic, that would be saying something.  I tried them out, compared and contrasted them, analyzed results. Were they repairing the energy system, toning it, redirecting energy temporarily, or what? 

Rarely a day went by where I didn’t practice some energy healing thing.  Yet I still remained a skeptic on many levels, even with evidence mounting before my eyes, and happy clients.  In the end, I admit I found no trick, no deception.  To my surprise, I discovered an internally consistent, logical, thorough, empirically tested (for hundreds if not thousands of years) system of anatomy and physiology of “subtle energy”, in addition to the physical energy A&P.  The energy system both duplicates and goes beyond the body's measurable, physical energy. 

No, the subtle energy body could not be measured by current scientific instruments, but it could be seen and felt by millions of adepts over the years, who independently reported perceiving very similar structures and functioning.  I was shocked to realize that taken in whole, and reinforced by other systems throughout the world that culturally approached life in very different ways but got roughly the same answers when it came to health and healing, this system could completely explain “miracle” healings and quite a few other anomalies in the world!  Not only that, but this whole system was completely compatible with physical science.

In digging even further, I found these healing systems shared the same wisdom as the world’s great religions and spiritual teachings. 

I love a good puzzle and this all fit together in the most spectacular way.  But somewhere along the way, I began to realize this wasn’t just a fun side business and source of entertainment.  It WAS my future.  This is what called me to my purpose.  Nothing else in life had ever drawn me and entranced me as much, ever.  Nothing had felt so strange and yet so familiar as well. 

That realization scared me a LOT, and I proceeded to cycle through crisis of faith after crisis of faith (in myself, in science, in my schools, in this healing work, in God, in myself… and around again) as I came to accept the fact that I was meant to be a healer. 

But I kept practicing and questioning.  Along the way, I noticed that most of my clients were other healers.  Nurse, massage therapist, social worker, herbalist, coach, shaman, doctor, yoga instructor, etc.  I thought this was a fun coincidence.  I loved hanging out with all these healers! 

Some of my healer clients were further along the healer’s path than I was, and I benefitted greatly from their perspective and advice.  I also loved giving back to the newbies and answering their questions, sometimes for hours after their appointments ended.  Along the way, I acquired perspective on the healer’s spiritual journey, its common potholes and good ways to get around them, as well as what makes healers different from "normal" people. 

I knew for a long time that I was supposed to do as much healing as possible, and then there would be more... something else that wasn't exactly a one-on-one healing practice.  It was a vague feeling, and I often doubted it.  But finally, the new thing came. 

Early in 2007, a process called The Reconnection found me and reconnected me with my core self and the Universe in a deeper way. That process opened the floodgates for me to my purpose here.  After having sworn off taking more healing classes, I took the first Reconnective Healing class I could find.  It was amazing. (See my story about that to the left.)

THE Healer to Healers
In 2007 my hand-reading business coach Baeth Davis dubbed me the Healer to Healers, and today in fact I help healers understand themselves, how to walk their spiritual path and what genuine healing is, at HealerToHealer.com.

In April 2008, I “heard” while Reconnecting a client, “I am THE Healer to Healers.”  That was just too arrogant for me to have thought of myself: it also felt like an assignment from the Universe. 

Over the course of 2008 I worked with Baeth to focus my business.  Right away I began to write my first book, "Awakening Your Inner Healer", due out in 2010. 

After the most intense personal healing I've ever experienced in January 2009, I knew my ultimate client was actually healers to healers themselves -- teachers of healing, mentors, Law of Attraction coaches, and the like.

Meanwhile, my purpose continued to develop and be revealed.  In early 2008 a psychic friend had told me, “I see you building a web that goes all the way around the world and connects people.”  As it turns out, that "web" began as a meeting of a few healers I knew over lunch in Madison, Wisconsin, and turned into the International Institute for Practitioners of Genuine Healing.  When my title became Executive Director in 2009, I intuitively knew immediately that this was the job I'd waited my whole life for.  I finally knew exactly what I was here on the planet to do.

Too commonly healers learn healing techniques and even get certified or licensed without truly understanding how to be a healer or what genuine healing is.  Today I help healers all over the world step into their healing gifts, and walk the healer's unique spiritual path so they can USE their gifts to heal the world. This is what the institute teaches, and we are rolling out its website in Fall of 2009. I could not be happier nor more excited!

I've found that healers need each other’s company.  We are a unique breed, and often feel like the ugly duckling among our friends and family. We need a confidence-building environment in which to stretch and grow, as well as a community to connect with others on the path, both ahead of us and behind us.  We also benefit so much from having a sanctuary where we can close the door and be our unique healer selves, without worries.  IIPGH offers you this, and more.
